300m Junior Circuit

This track was opened in 1990 and was laid out to provide an easy ‘fun’ course for novice drivers. It is all tarmac, originally 7.0m wide, with only two big bends and a few slight curves.  A  continuous line of commercial lorry tyres are laid all around, both inside and outside to catch those trying to leave the circuit. This track is floodlit so that we can still operate at night.

The karts are BIZ Karts - Enduros with a single 160cc Honda GX160 four stroke engine of 5.5Hp and hydraulic caliper brakes. Each kart has a full wrap round shock absorbing bumper system designed to take a 30 mph impact . Since we expect novices to use the karts we have fitted speed restricters that limit the top speed to 25-30mph.

Note. we have four tandem karts so that parents can drive youngsters around the circuit who do not yet reach the minimum height. Fitted with speed restricters, top speed 25-30mph.
