Safety

At Amen Corner Karting we take safety very seriously - we have not had a reportable accident in 15 years of operation.

We are a member of the ‘National Karting Association’ who’s officials carry out an inspection of our facilities and operation each year - we don’t get a certificate unless we meet their strict guidelines. Our karts and both tracks are checked by our staff every day.

We are of course fully insured.

BUT - please be aware that karting, like all motor sports, has an element of risk involved
               - you are the driver and expected to be in control, the karts don’t drive themselves.

We can only ensure that the karts are checked and safe, the track is checked and marshaled safely,  and that you have been given a full safety briefing and safety clothing
     - the rest is up to you.

If you crash into the barriers or another kart then we will do our best to help you but if the accident was due to your negligence then YOU are the guilty party not us and if someone else was injured due to your negligence then our insurer’s may be claiming from YOU not us.

We will do our best to advise you as which track and kart is suitable for your age/height/ability but if you don’t give us the full (and correct !) facts then you may be putting yourself and others in danger.

NOTE. Our safety record has been maintained by NOT allowing persons who obviously want to play dodgems onto our circuits. We welcome fast drivers, but not at the expense of safety.
